The Beginning

June 1, 2019

Alex & Kara met online and the next day, June 1, 2019, they went out to dinner at Cosi Cucina’s and Krispy Kreme’s. They went on several more dates: trail walks, visited the art museum, went to the farmer’s market, ate sushi, and all that fun stuff.

August 1, 2019

Then two months later they made it official, August 1, 2019, and a couple of weeks after that they moved in together on Alex’s birthday, August 24th. Then for Kara’s birthday, November 3rd, they went to Alaska to see the northern lights, hike, go to an ice museum, & relax in the hot springs.

Our Story Continues…

Everything changed when COVID attacked. When COVID happened Kara became an “essential” worker and Alex started to go to school full-time online. They spent more time together and fell even more in love.

During COVID Alex & Kara adopted a stray dog; a sassy, terrier named Jelly Bean. Jelly loves to hike with Alex & Kara on Raccoon River Trail and go to the dog park. Alex & Kara learned a lot of recipes and started making food homemade! Alex has become quite an amazing chef. If you have any recipes, share the love and send them their way!
